"Hastings 1066" is the second official release of Thy Majestie. It is a concept album
inspired by the bloody battle fought by the Normans and the Saxons in 1066 a.C. in Hastings
(England). That battle saw the conquering of the throne of Anglia by William duke of Normandy
(called "The Conqueror") and saw the defeat of Harold II king of England.
Majestic orchestrations, real opera choirs, glorious atmospheres and progressive highlights...

The sound is powerful and the new composition are blasting, with Opera and Gregorian choirs
featured by the Teatro Massimo Opera Choir, OUTSTANDING!
Thy Majestie mixed epic and glorious atmospheres with the technique of progressive metal
to create a personal way to the Symphonic Epic metal.
The album was recorded in Rome at The Outer Sound Studios between march and may in 2002 by Giuseppe Orlando (Novembre)
and it was mastered by Mikka Jussila
at Finnvox studios (Stratovarius,Nightwish,Children of Bodom...)in Finland
