"1066" was released in July 2001 after much work in the studio .It was recorded at Circle of Power studios (in other words at Claudio's personal studio again!) , but this time the quality of the recordings is clean and powerful . Why did Thy Majestie decide to record a new demo if they are with Scarlet for at least another album? The answer is simple : in the new album there is a lot more work and more arrangements , so they can't record it like "The Lasting Power" , they need greater expences from their label if they want to make a good album. As you know, the production is the first thing in an album nowadays ! They did this demo to show their label that the new album needs more money invested in it, and the only way to demonstrate it to Scarlet was to record a new demo. At the end of the recordings Thy Majestie were so satisfied by the final result that they consider "1066" a sort of pre-production of the new album.
